SCC note: the first video is at NASA and offers us a complete description of the video, which also appears below.
All Alone in the Night had a familiar ring that I didn't identify until I began re-watching the Babylon 5 science fiction series (PTEN/TNT, 1993 - 1998).
The statement All Alone in the Night
appears in the prologue to each episode of the first two seasons.
Babylon 5 was a huge inter-planetary space station set in the twenty-third century (2248 - 2281), with the expressed purpose to promote inter-planetary peace following a brutal war.
Videos two and four are NASA videos at YouTube and the third video is a National Geographic video at YouTube. Advertisements may have been added to these videos, they usually offer the opportunity to skip them after a few seconds. The Scenic Color Country site itself will never have ads - our intent is to offer photos and information for our visitors' pleasure, not to generate revenue.
The first video - All Alone in the Night - Flying Over the Earth at Night
(2:30).
From NASA: Many wonders are visible when flying over the Earth at night.
A compilation of such visual spectacles was captured recently from the International Space Station (ISS) and set to rousing music.
Passing below are white clouds, orange city lights, lightning flashes in thunderstorms, and dark blue seas.
On the horizon is the golden haze of Earth's thin atmosphere, frequently decorated by dancing auroras as the video progresses.
The green parts of auroras typically remain below the space station, but the station flies right through the red and purple auroral peaks.
Solar panels of the ISS are seen around the frame edges.
The ominous wave of approaching brightness at the end of each sequence is just the dawn of the sunlit half of Earth, a dawn that occurs every 90 minutes.

How It Works
- the second video by NASA at YouTube is a compilation of four separate station tour videos with Expedition 33 Commander Suni Williams: Harmony, Tranquility, Unity; Kibo, Columbus, Destiny; Cupola and Leonardo; and Russian Segment. (28:57).
The third video - Big Bigger Biggest S02E07
- is the 2nd National Geographic documentary on the space station at YouTube and runs for 46:41.
This video may expire soon, as did version 1.
We'll attempt to keep up with them - please accept our apology if we don't catch it and you get a does not exist
error.
The fourth video is a NASA documentary on the space shuttle.
Quoting NASA: An idea born in unsettled times becomes a feat of engineering excellence.
The most complex machine ever built to bring humans to and from space and eventually construct the next stop on the road to space exploration (1:20:44).
The doumentary is narrated by William Shatner - Captian Kirk in the Star Trek TV/movie sci-fi series.
Note that, in typical YouTube fashion, the videos may be updated, may change, or may disappear. We will attempt to keep them up-to-date, but may not be timely in that endeavor.
